The exhibition tells through twenty-six photographs the greatness of Erdene Zuu, important Buddhist monastery built in 1586 from Abdai Khan, Prince of Khalkha, today's Republic of Mongolia, and fixed stage of our “Mongolia Motorbike Marathon”.

Bounded by walls of 400 meters per side, scanned by 108 stupa, the sacred area of Erdene Zuu was characterized by numerous religious buildings, constructed over three centuries with different architectural styles.

From 1941 the monastery was converted into a Museum and the 1991 was returned to the Buddhist monks while retaining its museum function.

Alongside the photographs dedicated to Erdene Zuu, the exposition showcases some photographic reproductions of works in bronze made by Zanabazar (1635 – 1723), spiritual guidance and great sculptor, who played a considerable role in religious history, social, politics and culture of Mongolia.

After seeing it in pictures, you won't be able to resist the temptation to visit it in person, riding to our legendary Bronco!
