Get “off the beaten track” and discover Tuscany’s top ‘gravel roads’!

There is no doubt that Tuscany is the best that Italy has to offer in terms of history, art, culture, beauty, food and wine, but also it’s one of the best in terms of a motorcycle adventouring country!…and the best way to discover the real, authentic Tuscany is to experience it in the company of the locals and this is why our  Team and our event is a winner, because it’s made up of motorcycle enthusiasts and professionals that come from the world of motorcycle travel and events, from Tuscany and beyond and who live in this beautiful region, for both passion and work.

The Tuscany Gravel Cup is a non-competitive event open to competent and confident riders with a minimum of gravel road/off-road riding experience and is open to all types of all-terrain motorcycles, including maxi-enduro bikes and suitable both for the individual and for small groups.

Enjoy four intense but well-balanced days that will take you through stunning scenery, visiting ancient treasures en route such as the roofless Gothic Abbey of San Galgano with its famous sword in the stone, stopping off in the small village squares for the a coffee or cappuccino, mixing with the locals, tasting the delicious local dishes;  at the end of the day, you’ll relax in the comfort of a 4-star hotel.

In short, you’ll experience a full immersion in the ‘off the beaten track’ Tuscan trails and into the true Italian lifestyle…all tailored for you by the dedicated staff of “Tuscany Gravel Cup” who will be there to assist you and enhance your experience all the way.

Also, a big highlight of the Tuscany Gravel Cup is that every participant will be allocated a guaranteed slot to participate in the renowned Polvere & Gloria, an annual on/off festival that takes you along the world famous route of ‘L’Eroica’© with its spectacular dirt roads that cut through the stunning and diverse Sienese hills and countryside:

Amongst the range of motorcycles that participants flood in on, include classic motorcycles, early Dakar replicas, adventurers with weird and wonderful machines and all is intwined in a super friendly and good fun atmosphere which will leave you with indelible memories to take home with you and just one desire…to sign up immediately for the following year!

This unique trip is only available to 50 lucky bikers from around the world, so don’t miss out!  And don’t worry if you can’t bring your own bike or just have time for a long weekend, because you can rent one locally from a trusted provider and offer you all the appropriate hospitality and ground services.

So don’t miss out, come and ENJOY IT WITH US!

Each day you’ll be riding approximately 200/250 kms along enchanting paved country roads, gravel tracks and through some mind relaxing gentle rolling grass fields.

Participants will be provided with GPX tracks of the route and each can decide whether to ride alone or in a small group.  So you must come armed with a GPS device or a smartphone, especially for those who intend to ride alone.

Some of our Tour Leaders will be riding the route, so will always at hand for any assistance.

Dinners and overnight stays will be based on high-level facilities (a 4 star hotel perfectly situated between the Crete Senesi and Chianti) that maintain a strong link with local traditions: great scenery and excellent gastronomy.

Lunches are not included, BUT between a hearty breakfast, the various tastings of local produce along the route and generous dinners in the evenings (all of which are included), I think very few of you will be wanting a sit-down lunch! However, for those who do, there are many quaint villages, bars, osterias and restaurants along the route.

Do contact us should you require further information or if you have any questions – we’ll be delighted to hear from you!

Andrea Leggieri
Since I learned to walk, I’ve never stopped travelling and for the past 30 years now, I’ve been organising trips and events on two wheels around the world – from the Balkans to Africa and Asia, always looking for ‘off the beaten track’ routes and new experiences.
But my great love has always been for Central Italy and Tuscany in particular, being an authentic piece of paradise – full of many pleasures: from the beauty of the landscape to the kindness of the people, from the exuberance of its historical and artistic treasures (some of which hidden in the most remote and incredible places) to the richness of the eno-gastronomic heritage.
It goes without saying that for me, the ideal way to enjoy this region is by motorcycle, especially if it’s all-terrain – a perfect means to be able to enjoy fully its extraordinary network of white roads.

Jonathan Magoni
British born, in 1986 I moved to Tuscany and obtained Italian nationality after serving one year’s national service. Since then I’ve spent over 25 years working in the tourism industry and have travelled to all corners of Italy. I soon grew to love this country for the diversity between regions, its world class cuisine, the friendly people, the perfect climate and of course ‘La Dolce Vita’. Tuscany is a concentrate of all of the that and a place that for many years and still today, I call home.
Over the years, my passion for motorbikes grew and world of two wheels quickly became a new way of life for me.
Then came the day that Ewan and Charlie took center stage with their Long Way series and that marked the day that my ambitions with motorbikes moved to a different level. Finally, I managed to buy myself a big adventure bike and leapt into my first gravel road experiences. The off-road bug kicked in and I soon signed up for an off-road course for maxi enduros and learnt to ride these big bikes off road…and suddenly a whole new world of riding opportunities opened up right in front of me!
From local trails to riding above the clouds, from adventuring out in the snow to off roading overseas – the pleasure of riding never ends!
Today, I operate as a professional motorbike tour leader for several well established events, namely Il Classico, Mugello Rally and Eroici in Moto, during which we ride on the best that Tuscan gravel roads have to offer, sharing at the same time my passion for this beautiful region and its hidden trails.
